Circulating antigens and/or microfilariae of<br />Dirofilaria immitis were found in 25.5% of dogs in the whole studied area. The highest infection rate was<br />found in Guilan (51.42%), followed by Golestan and Mazandaran provinces (15.38% and 7.69%, <br />respectively). Prevalence values were not influenced by age and sex in the whole area; the values detected in low altitude regions were 4.6 times the values found in high altitude areas. This is the first detailed survey on canine dirofilariasis in these coastal provinces of Iran. Guilan province, with its certain hyper endemic<br />counties, was shown to be the most endemic for canine heartworm infection in the country. hemoprophylaxis should be considered for the dog population in these areas.</p> <p>بین ماه‌های تیر و مرداد 1388 تعداد 200 قلاده سگ‌های گله و نگهبان در سه استان شمالی گیلان، مازندران و گلستان مورد نمونه‌برداری قرار گرفتند. 5/25 درصد سگ‌های بررسی شده در کل منطقه مورد مطالعه از نظر حضور آنتی‌ژن و یا میکروفیلر <em>دایروفیلاریا ایمیتیس</em> مثبت بودند. میزان آلودگی در استان گیلان 42/51%، استان گلستان 38/15% و در استان مازندران 69/7% بود. در کل مناطق مورد مطالعه سن و جنس سگ‌ها تاثیری بر میزان شیوع آلودگی نداشت. میزان شیوع در مناطق پست 6/4 برابر مناطق مرتفع بود. مطالعه دایروفیلاریازیس سگ‌ها در این سطح در مناطق ساحلی دریای خزر ایران برای اولین بار صورت گرفته است. بر اساس این مطالعه، استان گیلان با توجه به شرایط آب و هوایی و بعضی شهرها و روستاهای به شدت آندمیک بیشترین میزان آلودگی به عفونت کرم قلب سگ‌ها را در کشور دارا می‌باشد. استفاده از رژیم دارویی پیشگیرانه بیماری کرم قلب در سگ‌های ساکن شمال کشور اکیدا توصیه می‌گردد.</p> https://ijvr.shirazu.ac.ir/article_87_1046a8d2ab280be79fb461672672ea67.pdf
