Meimandi Parizi Department of Clinical Sciences, School of Veterinary Medicine, Shiraz University, Shiraz, Iran Journal Article 2010 01 19 <p>A 6-year-old lactating Holstein cow with a history of repeat breeding syndrome (failed to conceive after<br />three artificial inseminations (AI) with fertile semen) was referred to the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of the<br />School of Veterinary Medicine, Shiraz University. According to the history, neither abnormal clinical signs,<br />nor uterine discharge had been observed subsequent to AI. The cow had shown signs of oestrus on a cyclic<br />and regular basis. On rectal examination, no palpable object was detected inside the uterine horns, however,<br />transrectal ultrasonographic examination revealed a hyperechoic straw-shape object in the left uterine horn.<br />Left-flank laparotomy was performed and after exposure of left uterine horn, the palpated straw was removed through a small hysterotomy incision. Postoperative follow-up did not show any complication. No attempt was made to inseminate the cow after operation as it was not the farmer’s plan to get the cow in calf.</p> <p dir="RTL">گاو 6 ساله‌ای از نژاد هلشتاین با تاریخچه سندرم واکلی (عدم آبستنی متعاقب 3 بار تلقیح مصنوعی با اسپرم بارور) به کلینیک دانشکده دامپزشکی دانشگاه شیراز ارجاع داده شد. در معاینات بالینی، علایم غیر طبیعی مشاهده نشد؛ همچنین متعاقب تلقیح مصنوعی هیچگونه ترشحات رحمی غیر طبیعی مشاهده نشده بود. گاو، علایم فحلی منظم نشان می‌داد. در معاینه رکتال، جسم قابل لمسی در شاخ‌های رحم یافت نشد؛ اگر چه اولتراسونوگرافی از طریق رکتال شی شبیه نی اسپرم و با اکوژنیسیته بالا را در شاخ چپ رحم نشان داد. در لاپاراتومی از فلانک سمت چپ، نی اسپرم (straw) از شاخ چپ رحم با یک شکاف کوچک هیستروتومی خارج شد. هیچگونه عوارضی متعاقب جراحی مشاهده نشد. به علت عدم تمایل دامدار، تلاش مجددی برای تلقیح گاو مزبور صورت نگرفت.</p> https://ijvr.shirazu.ac.ir/article_45_5e061dbae09b0e9274b040eefdc0c80a.pdf
