Experimental CE may be established in primary or secondary forms; however, the primary form is more reliable for the study of CE. Aims: The aim of the study was to assess the possibility of establishment of primary CE in Balb/c mice via the oral administration of Echinococcus granulosus s.l. eggs. Methods: E. granulosus s.s. eggs were obtained from the gravid segments of the adult worms collected from an experimentally infected dog. Thirty-four female Balb/c mice were allocated into 4 groups and were orally infected with E. granulosus s.s. eggs as follows: 1) the mice with normal immunity, a single dose of 1000 eggs, 2) the mice with normal immunity, 3 doses of 500 eggs, 3) immunosuppressed mice, a single dose of 1000 eggs, and 4) immunosuppressed mice, 3 doses of 500 eggs. After 6.5 months, all the mice were opened and their internal organs were examined for the presence of CE cysts. The livers of infected mice were also examined for the presence of E. granulosus s.l. compartments by the PCR method. Results: There was no developed or developing CE cyst in the abdominal cavities or on the internal organs of all the mice in four groups. In addition, in the molecular study, all the examined liver samples were negative for the parasite material. Conclusion: The results of the present study revealed that Balb/c mice are not a suitable host for establishment of primary CE following the oral administration of E. granulosus s.s. eggs.}, keywords = {Balb/C,Echinococcus granulosus s.l,Laboratory mice,Primary cystic echinococcosis}, title_fa = {ایجاد اکینوکوکوز کیستی اولیه در موش‌های آزمایشگاهی: نتایج تحقیق ما در سویه بالب سی}, abstract_fa = {پیشینه: ایجاد اکینوکوکوز کیستی تجربی در موش‌های آزمایشگاهی برای مطالعه این بیماری ضروری است. اکینوکوکوز کیستی تجربی ممکن است به صورت اولیه یا ثانویه ایجاد شود که فرم اولیه برای مطالعه بیماری قابل اعتمادتر است. هدف: هدف از مطالعه ارزیابی امکان ایجاد اکینوکوکوز کیستی اولیه در موش‌های بالب سی از طریق خوراندن تخم‌های انگل اکینوکوکوس گرانولوسوس بود. روش کار: تخم‌های انگل از بندهای گراوید کرم‌های بالغ جمع آوری شده از یک سگ آلوده به دست آمد. 34 سر موش بالب سی ماده به 4 گروه تقسیم و به روش دهانی با تخم‌های انگل آلوده شدند: 1) موش‌های دارای ایمنی طبیعی با 1000 تخم انگل در یک نوبت، 2) موش‌های دارای ایمنی طبیعی با 500 تخم انگل در سه نوبت، 3) موش‌های با ایمنی سرکوب شده با 1000 تخم انگل در یک نوبت، 4) موش‌های با ایمنی سرکوب شده با 500 تخم انگل در سه نوبت. 5/6 ماه بعد، همه موش‌ها کالبدگشایی و اندام‌های داخلی آن‌ها از نظر وجود کیست‌های هیداتید مورد بررسی قرار گرفت. کبد موش‌های آلوده نیز از نظر وجود رد پای انگل با روش PCR بررسی شدند. نتایج: هیچ کیست هیداتید رشد یافته یا در حال رشدی در حفره شکمی یا اندام‌های داخلی هیچکدام از موش‌ها مشاهده نشد. در مطالعه مولکولی نیز تمام نمونه‌های بررسی شده برای مشاهده رد پای انگل در کبد منفی بودند. نتیجه‌گیری: نتایج مطالعه حاضر نشان داد که موش‌های بالب سی میزبان مناسبی برای ایجاد اکینوکوکوز اولیه از طریق خوراندن تخم‌های انگل اکینوکوکوس گرانولوسوس نیستند.}, keywords_fa = {بالب سی,اکینوکوکوس گرانولوسوس سنسو لاتو,موش آزمایشگاهی,اکینوکوکوز کیستی اولیه}, url = {https://ijvr.shirazu.ac.ir/article_6820.html}, eprint = {https://ijvr.shirazu.ac.ir/article_6820_14e0f506276ff0c6dac804f393fa86d3.pdf} }
