An avian coronavirus (AvCoV), turkey coronavirus (TCoV), is one of the most important viral causes of PEC in turkeys. Aims: In the present study, the occurrence of PEC and the presence of AvCoV in some commercial turkey flocks were investigated. Methods: PEC was diagnosed based on the history, clinical, and necropsy findings. A reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) targeting the AvCoV nucleoprotein (N) gene was applied to detect the virus in the tissue samples. Cloacal swabs were collected from 11 flocks without a known history of PEC. Results: PEC was diagnosed in six (16.2%) out of 37 investigated turkey flocks. The daily mortality rate in affected flocks ranged from 0.2 to 1.2%. Samples from 8 flocks out of 18 (44.4%) were positive for AvCoV. Four PEC affected flocks were positive for AvCoV. Seven positive samples were sequenced and phylogenetic analysis revealed the close relationship with previously characterized avian infectious bronchitis viruses (IBV). Conclusion: The results suggested that PEC should be considered as a significant syndrome in the Iranian turkey industry. According to this preliminary study, it was shown that avian coronavirus infection is prevalent in commercial turkey farms of Iran. However, no causative association could be concluded between PEC occurrence and AvCoV infection in turkey flocks.}, keywords = {Avian coronavirus,Poult Enteritis,Turkey}, title_fa = {تشخیص کمپلکس التهاب روده‌ای جوجه بوقلمون و جستجوی مولکولی کروناویروس پرندگان در برخی گله‌های صنعتی بوقلمون در ایران}, abstract_fa = { پیشینه: سندرم‌های التهاب روده‌ای با علل گوناگون که با عنوان کمپلکس التهاب روده‌ای جوجه بوقلمون شناخته می‌شوند، می‌توانند تولید بوقلمون را متأثر نمایند. کروناویروس پرندگان، یا کروناویروس بوقلمون، یکی از مهمترین علل ویروسی کمپلکس‌های التهاب روده در بوقلمون‌ها است. هدف: در مطالعه حاضر وقوع کمپلکس‌های التهاب روده‌ای و حضور عفونت با کروناویروس پرندگان در گله‌های صنعتی بوقلمون بررسی شد. روش کار: کمپلکس التهاب روده‌ای بر اساس تاریخچه، نشانه‌های بالینی و کالبدگشایی تشخیص داده شد. واکنش زنجیره‌ای پلیمراز-رونویسی معکوس (RT-PCR) با هدف شناسایی ژن نوکلئوپروتئین (N) کروناویروس‌های پرندگان برای تشخیص این ویروس‌ها در نمونه‌های بافتی به کار گرفته شد. سواب کلوآک از 11 گله بوقلمون بدون سابقه شناخت از بروز کمپلکس التهاب روده‌ای جمع آوری شد. نتایج: کمپلکس التهاب روده‌ای در شش گله (2/16%) از 37 گله مورد بررسی تشخیص داده شد. درصد تلفات روزانه در گله‌های درگیر بین 2/0 تا 2/1% بود. نمونه‌های اخذ شده از هشت گله بوقلمون (4/44%) از 18 گله نمونه‌برداری شده از نظر حضور کروناویروس پرندگان مثبت بودند. چهار گله درگیر با کمپلکس التهاب روده‌ای نیز از نظر حضور کروناویروس پرندگان مثبت بودند. هفت نمونه مثبت سکانس شدند و تجزیه و تحلیل فیلوژنتیک نشان داد که ارتباط نزدیکی با ویروس‌های برونشیت عفونی داشته‌اند. نتیجه‌گیری: نتایج نشان داد که کمپلکس التهاب روده‌ای باید به عنوان یک سندرم مهم در صنعت بوقلمون ایران مورد توجه قرار گیرد. بر اساس نتایج مقدماتی مطالعه حاضر، رابطه علیتی میان وقوع کمپلکس التهاب روده و عفونت کروناویروسی پرندگان در گله‌های بوقلمون قابل اثبات نیست. هرچند، نشان داده شد که عفونت کروناویروس پرندگان در گله‌های صنعتی بوقلمون ایران قابل توجه است.}, keywords_fa = {کروناویروس پرندگان,التهاب روده جوجه بوقلمون,بوقلمون}, url = {https://ijvr.shirazu.ac.ir/article_6307.html}, eprint = {https://ijvr.shirazu.ac.ir/article_6307_a57a47a3c137e09073f2d87fa49f6697.pdf} }
