Thisstudy was conducted to determine the prevalence of Leptospira-induced abortions in Tabriz (north-west ofIran) dairy herds and to determine the pathogenic Leptospira serovars responsible. From May 2008 throughAugust 2010, 16 (21.05%) of 76 submissions (fetuses and placentas) to the Large Animal Clinic of theVeterinary Faculty at the University of Tabriz were diagnosed as positive to L. interrogans serovars by PCR.In contrast, only 9 (11.85%) of 76 dam’s sera were diagnosed as positive to leptospirosis by the microscopicagglutination test (MAT). Two out of 9 animals were seropositive to serovar pomona, one animal to serovaricterohaemorrhagiae, two animals to canicula, three animals to both pomona and grippotyphosa, and oneanimal to the both canicula and grippotyphos. Moreover, the prevalence of Leptospira-induced abortions washigh in the aged cows and advanced pregnancies (7-9 months). However statistical difference was notobserved among these groups or different periods of pregnancy. In conclusion, serovar pomona inducedabortions were determined to be more common leptospiral abortions in cattle in Tabriz and combination ofPCR protocol with the MAT test would be more effective than the single test for etiological diagnosis ofbovine abortions}, keywords = {Leptospirosis,Cattle,Abortion,PCR,Serodiagnosis}, title_fa = {بررسی سرولوژیکی و مولکولی سقط جنین‌های لپتوسپیرایی در گاوداری‌های شیری اطراف تبریز}, abstract_fa = {بیماری لپتوسپیروز یکی از بیماری‌های عفونی مهم انسان و حیوانات است که توسط لپتوسپیراهای بیماریزا ایجاد می‌شود که خود آن‌ها متعلق به گونه‌ای تحت عنوان لپتوسپیرا اینترروگانس با بیش از 212 سرووار هستند. این مطالعه به منظور بررسی فراوانی سقط جنین‌های لپتوسپیرایی در گله‌های شیری اطراف تبریز و همچنین تعیین سرووارهای بیماریزا و مسؤول سقط جنین در منطقه طراحی گردید. از اردیبهشت ماه سال 1387 تا مرداد ماه 1389 از 76 نمونه (جفت و جنین سقط شده) ارجاع داده شده به کلینیک دام‌های بزرگ دانشکده دامپزشکی دانشگاه تبریز، تعداد 16 (05/21%) نمونه از نظر آلودگی به سرووارهای لپتوسپیرا اینترروگانس با آزمایش PCR مثبت تشخیص داده شدند. در مقابل فقط 9 (85/11%) نمونه از76 نمونه سرم خون گاوان سقط کرده در آزمایش MAT نسبت به بیماری لپتوسپیروز واکنش مثبت نشان دادند. از 9 راس گاو مثبت از نظر واکنش سرمی نسبت به بیماری لپتوسپروز، 2 راس نسبت به سرووار پومونا، 1 راس نسبت به سرووار ایکتروهموراژیه، 2 راس نسبت به سرووار کانیکولا، 3 راس نسبت به هر دو سرووار پومونا و گریپوتایفوزا و 1 راس نسبت به هر دو سرووار کانیکولا و گریپوتایفوزا واکنش مثبت نشان دادند. علاوه بر این فراوانی سقط جنین‌های لپتوسپیرایی در گروه گاوان بالغ در مقایسه با گروه تلیسه‌ها و در مراحل آخر آبستنی (7 تا 9 ماهگی) نسبت به سایر مراحل آبستنی بالاتر بود که البته این دو موضوع از نظر آماری تایید نگردید. نتیجه‌گیری کلی این است که سرووار پومونا در گاوداری‌های اطراف تبریز مسؤول اکثر سقط جنین‌های لپتوسپیرایی می‌باشد و انجام دو آزمایش PCR و MAT برای تشخیص اتیولوژیک سقط جنین در گاو بهتر و موثرتر از انجام هر یک از آن‌ها به تنهایی است.}, keywords_fa = {لپتوسپیروز,گاو,سقط جنین,واکنش زنجیره‌ای پلیمراز‍‍‍,تشخیص سرمی}, url = {https://ijvr.shirazu.ac.ir/article_101.html}, eprint = {https://ijvr.shirazu.ac.ir/article_101_67b642a98fc51ca48c15846830b8eeb3.pdf} }
